Genesis: 25:24 “…behold, there were twins in her womb. 25And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau. 26And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel; and his name was called Jacob”
Romans 9:13 “As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
Charles Robert Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace were two men, who came up with the theory of evolution. Independently; and at the same time!
Let’s examine these two people’s names. I suggest this; because I believe these are two non-existent people with fictional names. Their names seem to suggest this.
What does the name Charles mean? Charles means: man (from the Old English ‘ceorl’).
What does the name Robert mean? Robert means: Famed; bright; shining.
What does the name Darwin mean? It’s derived from the Old English given name Deorwine, meaning “gifted friend; dear friend.”
Putting Charles Robert Darwin together; you could say: Man’s famed dear friend.
What does the name Alfred mean? Apart from King, it also means, wise.
What does the name Russel mean? Russell is a Form of Rufus: meaning Red-haired.
Wallace; while in the Malay Archipelago, shot dead a mother orangutan and decided to try to rear the mother’s baby, which had red hair:
“…and am trying to bring up her only daughter, and hope some day to introduce her to fashionable society at the Zoological Gardens.”
Wallace continues: “I am afraid you would call it an ugly baby, for it has a dark brown skin and red hair, a very large mouth, but very pretty little hands and feet.” (Wallace, Alfred Russell. My Life: A Record of Events and Opinion (p. 103). Kindle Edition).
The first person in the Bible, with red hair; was Esau. Is there a connection between Alfred Russel Wallace and Esau?
And between Charles Darwin and Jacob? Are Wallace & Darwin, twin aspects; similar to the rough Esau & smooth Jacob, twins? “
What does the name Jacob mean? In Hebrew; Jacob means: “heel catcher” or “supplanter”. A supplanter; is one who to takes the place of another.
What does the name Wallace mean? In Anglo-Saxon Wallace it means: Stranger.
In Scottish; the meaning of the name Wallace is: Welshman; stranger. Famous Bearer: Scottish hero Sir William Wallace (executed in 23 August 1305) (https://www.sheknows.com/baby-names/name/wallace/).
Alfred Russel Wallace was born in the Welsh town of Llanbadoc. This would make Wallace a Welshman. His family claim connections back to William Wallace.
Putting together Alfred Russel Wallace name; you could say: Wise red-haired stranger.
And did you notice that each has a 6 letter middle name starting with R? Robert and Russel (not Russell).
Charles Robert Darwin could mean: Man’s famed dear friend. (Darwin did travel on the H.M.S. Beagle. A ship named after a type of dog!)
Alfred Russel Wallace could mean: Wise red-haired stranger. (Possibly like an orangutan. Wallace adopted a baby orangutan with red hair. Orangutans are known as“Wise Old Man of the Jungle”!!).
I say; these two surname names, with opposite meanings (friend & stranger), are made-up. A hidden joke. What do you think?
